In an urban environment, the loft—with its high ceilings and wide-open spaces—can seem palatial in a sea of cramped studio apartments. Over the years, the Residential Architect Design Awards (RADA)—now open for submissions—has recognized many lofts, with juries taking note of how different architects have unleashed their creativity on the versatile spaces.
