Project Description

Project location: Rye Brook, NY
Project type: Spec house
Completion date: 2006
Architect: Brad DeMotte, R.A.

This arts & crafts spec house was designed for a developer on a “tear-down” lot in a residential neighborhood. The architect chose to design a home with “arts & crafts” style detailing.

The 2 story home appears smaller than it is due to the extensive use of dormers. A covered front porch adds curb appeal. It was designed with mahogany decking, tapered bungalow style columns, and a bead board ceiling.

The exterior finishes selected by the architect for low maintenance are fiber cement siding & PVC trim.
