The first book on the work of young architect Thomas Phifer and his firm, Thomas Phifer and Partners, Thomas Phifer and Partners (Rizzoli New York, $75) by architectural historian Stephen Fox and architecture writer Sarah Amelar examines the firm’s distinct transformation of modernism and its approach to creating timeless buildings. All of Phifer’s major commissions are detailed, including the Salt Point House in New York and the North Carolina Museum of Art. Some project studies include fold-out panoramic photo pages, as well as project floor plans and drawings.
