Project Description

Under the auspices of the GSA Design Excellence Program, EYP is modernizing this 540,000-square-foot complex listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Preserving the unique character of the building, which houses government offices, federal courts, and a post office, was of paramount importance.

Led by preservation and modernization experts, EYP’s energy efficient design seamlessly weaves new MEP systems throughout the existing building fabric to improve indoor environmental quality and fire safety. The building will remain fully occupied and accessible throughout the modernization. The project is LEED Gold Certified.
