Solar Secure, designed by Cochran, is a solar-powered structure to support emergency-assistance stations, lighting, surveillance cameras, and Wi-Fi technology. Three models are available: the SunStation, with benches for up to five people, a foldout desk, and outlets; the SunBench, which includes a bench that seats three; and the SunTower, which has no seating. Materials include 100% recyclable semitranslucent acrylic panels, recycled-content aluminum gratings, FSC-certified wood cladding options, a concrete foundation containing high flyash content, structural steel featuring 99% recycled content, and LED lighting with occupancy sensors. Solar panels on the structure generate up to 800W of power, and hydride fuel cells are also included for backup power. solarsecure.net; 877.778.2340.
