Product: Herman Miller Eames Aluminum Group Outdoor

1 MIN READ

Launched as part of Herman Miller’s classic collection, the Eames Aluminum Group Outdoor includes a lounge chair and tables designed by Charles and Ray Eames and George Nelson. First commissioned by industrialist J. Irwin Miller and his wife, the family behind many of the architecturally iconic public buildings in Columbus, Ohio, the original Aluminum Group Lounge Chair featured a nylon and saran seating fabric that didn’t fare well outdoors or under heavy use. In its revival of the chair, Herman Miller used durable materials and finish options that simulate the look and feel of the original; for example, the seating fabric is now Pellicle, the suspension fabric that debuted in another Herman Miller icon: the Aeron chair. • hermanmiller.com
