PPG Industries Sungate 400

Sungate 400, a passive low-emissivity glass from PPG Industries, features a magnetron sputtered vacuum deposition (MSVD) soft coat that helps commercial buildings retain heat from the sun and reduce winter heating costs. The glass has a winter U-value that is 9% better than the company’s 500 version glass and also features a visible light transmittance of 76% when coated with a conventional clear glass substrate, and 80% on Starphire glass substrate. Designed for commercial applications, Sungate 400 was engineered to be paired with Solarban 60 and Solarban 70XL solar control low-E glass in triple-pane insulating glass units. ppgideascapes.com
