Los Angeles-based tile company Walker Zanger’s Lumineux Collection includes 16 types of large, bold slab surfaces made out of small pieces of semi-precious stones. The stones are sorted and arranged by color and size to achieve a uniform surface—according to the company, a single slab could contain stones from various parts of the world.

The fragments are then combined with resin and treated under high pressure, resulting in a 0.75″-thick slab. The final product is suitable for indoor wall, floor, and counter- or tabletop applications. Lumineux is offered in a standard size of 96″ by 48″, and can be custom ordered up to 102″ by 55″.
