New VOC-Free Paint Colorant

Most low- or no-VOC paints don’t stay that way once standard colorant is added—some dark tints can increase the VOC levels by more than 50 grams per liter. But, starting this summer, all of Sherwin-Williams’ latex and water-based paints will be tinted with the company’s new zero-VOC ColorCast Eco Toners, making Sherwin-Williams the only company that can tint its full line of colors with zero-VOC colorants.

While some tint systems affect paint thickness and consistency, ColorCast colorants maintain the paint’s full body, the company says, delivering thick, rich coats for maximum performance.
