Lutron Electronics Co.’s Stairwell Retrofit Solution automatically adjusts light output based on stairwell occupancy and is composed of a light fixture that is wirelessly connected to the company’s digital dimming ballast. The system offers up to 80% energy savings and is easy to install (no additional wiring required) with flexible groupings of fixtures and sensors. The fixtures come in 2′, 3′, and 4′ lengths—with one or two T8, T5-HE, or T5HO lamps—and can be ceiling- or wall-mounted. An optional emergency ballast battery backup is available. lutron.com
