Knight Wall Systems’s thermal isolation system, ThermaStop, is designed for use with the company’s self-leveling and continuous-insulation rain screens. Consisting of a four-piece system of Galvalume-coated steel brackets and a polyacetal plastic base and plastic washer, ThermaStop is designed to be positioned between the wall and wall brackets of a rain screen in order to reduce thermal bridging at the point of contact. Because there is no metal-on-metal contact and because metal fasteners are isolated, heat and cold transfer should be significantly reduced, according to the company.
