Herman Miller Embody

Released in 2008, Herman Miller’s Embody chair was designed by Bill Stumpf and Jeff Weber. A follow-up to the success of the Aeron chair—which Stumpf designed with Don Chadwick—Embody seeks to provide an active ergonomic system. A spinelike vertical back support, combined with lateral supports, conform to user movement and ensure that the lower back is supported with no necessary adjustments. A narrow back allows free arm movement. The frame is available in graphite and white, and the base in graphite, titanium, and polished aluminum. Embody is made from 42% recycled material and is 95% recyclable after its life cycle. hermanmiller.com
