Fossil Faux Studios’ custom resin panels are a firm favorite for such architectural applications as handrail infill (as seen on this Carter + Burton project). Comprised of a core of cast polyester resin sandwiched between two clear cast acrylic resin sheets, the panels are offered in sheets measuring up to 54 inches by 108 inches in size. “The custom resin panels are created to last a lifetime,” Burton notes, “but the resin also can be recycled.” Available thicknesses range from 3/4 inch to 3-plus inches.
