Coming Soon: Modec Zero-Emissions Work Truck

1 MIN READ

Don’t let the futuristic exterior fool you: The Modec electric work truck offers the performance pros need in a commercial hauler—just not the same atmosphere-clogging pollution.

This British import, which won the Editors’ Choice Award for New Product Innovation at the Work Truck Show earlier this year, produces zero emissions and is whisper quiet, yet offers a capacity of 2 metric tons, the company says. The truck’s battery, whose charge will last for more than 60 or more than 100 miles fully loaded depending on battery type, recharges in eight hours or can be exchanged for a fully charged battery. It includes all the necessities and comforts of standard trucks, including bounce-back lower body panels, a high-strength ladder-frame chassis, a walk-in cab with rear door, and anti-lock brakes.

The trucks aren’t set to hit our shores until 2009 (and pricing isn’t yet available); in the meantime, you can learn more at www.modeczev.com.
