Designed by Paolo Lucidi and Luca Pevere, co-founders of Udine, Italy–based design studio LucidiPevere, this decorative pendant is fabricated using a proprietary concrete mix to create its smooth texture. The 8W LED luminaire casts a concentrated downward beam, making it a perfect fixture for illuminating clients’ kitchen islands, dining tables, bars, and reading nooks. The luminaire’s 4.5″-diameter, 8.25″-tall shade comes with a 78″-long black or white cord. Available in concrete gray (shown), white, and brown. UL-listed. foscarini.com

She holds master degrees in urban ecological planning from Norwegian University of Science and Technology and in world heritage studies from Brandenburg University of Technology.
