Ivalo strives to combine a high-design sensibility with edgy manufacturing processes. Aliante exterior sconce is the latest in the family designed by artist-critic Stefano Casciani. Its 5-foot-tall form is constructed of .060-inch-thick steel using automotive stamping techniques; the shell is available in silver, bronze, or custom powdercoat colors. Hinges with captured screws hold the fixture to the wallplate. A polycarbonate shield protects the T5 high-output lamp.
