BUILDINGGREEN has released its annual list of the top 10 green building products. Selected by the editors of GreenSpec Directory and Environmental Building News, winners are drawn from the 2007 submissions to the directory.

Out of 200 products, the editors picked Solmetric’s device for measuring solar access and shading (below right); Skyline Design’s Greenplay series of children’s furniture made of agricultural waste (below left); Alpen Energy Group’s.fiberglass windows; Collins’ Pine FreeForm particle board; Milliken’s 180 Walls wallcovering (below center); the Evolution 800 Series dishwasher from Bosch; Caroma USA’s Cube3 Ultra Urinal; LifeGuard electrical cables by Houston Wire & Cable; EnOcean’s wireless controls; and LED Lighting Fixtures’ LR6 LED downlight. Common features for the products include rapidly renewable materials, post- and pre-consumer waste supplies, alternative materials to hazardous components, and minimal pollutant emissions.

More information on the 2007 top 10 products is available at BuildingGreen’s website—buildinggreen.com—as is the entire database of more than 2,000 products. The database is searchable by CSI Master Format 2004, by LEED credit relevance, and by application. The BuildingGreen editors pick all products for the database and do not sell advertising or charge for inclusion.
