Top fields requiring applicants to be have a LEED credential include engineering, architecture, construction, interior design, sales and property managements and software development.

Pearson also conducted a study that found LEED credentials are the highest demanded skill in green building related jobs. A study of 2,354 US job postings in the green building field found that 59% of postings requiring LEED compared to only 17% for the second most demanded skill.

The LEED Accredited Professional credential is meant for those working on LEED projects and requires specific, advanced knowledge in a specialized area of green building and LEED certification.
