New Guide Advises Sustainability Commissions

1 MIN READ

Commissioning & Green Building Solutions Inc. and the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Foundation have released Commissioning Existing Buildings, a free guide for building owners and facility managers on introducing and advancing sustainable practices within existing buildings. A free copy of the guide can be requested through ifmafoundation.org or cxgbs.com.

The guide provides reasons for and outlines the process of commissioning an existing building, as well as budget guidelines for time, money, and resources. The book also includes real world case studies.

“While there is dramatic need for each of us–and our organizations–to care for the environment, it is just as important that we convey to executives how these initiatives can benefit our company’s financial success,” says Jay Enck, principal at Commissioning & Green Building Solutions Inc. and the guide’s author.
