Nationwide Green Remodeling Guidelines

1 MIN READ

The American Society Of Interior Designers And The U.S. Green Building Council, both based in Washington, D.C., have created the first nationwide green residential remodeling guidelines for existing homes. Comprised of best practices using a “whole-house” approach, the guidelines will be supplemented by education programs and print and electronic resources as part of the REGREEN program. “We have the ability to affect major change through existing homes,” says Rick Fedrizzi, president, chief executive officer and founding chair of USGBC. “Making our homes more energy efficient, resource friendly, healthier and safer for families who live in them is something we can do now, and it is something that everyone deserves.” Visit www.regreenprogram.org for more information about REGREEN and www.greenhomeguide.org for more information about green homes.
