University of Oklahoma Student Wins Luraline Lighting’s Annual Student Design Competition

Luraline Lighting announced that Marissa Gomez from the University of Okla. won it’s seventh annual “It’s Your Light” student design competition. Gomez will receive $1,500 for her Prism Light made up of irregular shapes and sharp angles Luraline says is “reminiscent of shards of glass that have been put back together.” Made by folding a single piece of recyclable acrylic, the fixture is lit by a second-color LED lamp that continuously changes the lights’ colors. This year’s theme was “Lighting of the Future. ” Luraline will issue the call for entries for the eighth annual competition in September 2008.
