Ruud Lighting Appoints New President

Ruud Lighting has named Christopher Ruud to the position of President of the company. He assumes this leadership role from his father, Alan Ruud, who has been president of the company since he founded it in 1982. In his new role as president, the junior Ruud will oversee all U.S.-based business units and operations. The senior Ruud will retain his role as chairman and CEO. The change comes as the company transitions from traditional lighting to an LED platform. Christopher Ruud was instrumental in building the infrastructure for the launch of BetaLED in 2007.
