NBBJ Opens Lighting Design Studio

1 MIN READ

In response to increasing demand for lighting services and its own internal growth, Seattle architecture firm NBBJ has separated its lighting group from the architecture and interior design studio, from which it operated for seven years, and created a new studio dedicated to lighting design. The lighting design studio consolidates the firm’s eight lighting designers into one place, and according to studio head Melanie Taylor, will elevate the focus of lighting to a higher level at the firm and give the group greater autonomy as a practice. Also, Kate Borgner has joined the lighting design team as a daylighting specialist. Based out of NBBJ’s Seattle office, the lighting studio will work on projects around the globe.
