Manufacturing Comparison: A Legacy Product Versus An LED Product

With the increasing demand for LED fixtures, manufacturers have had to modify their factory floors, training programs, and workflows—from material sourcing to quality control—to accommodate new product lines alongside their legacy-sourced products. As an accompaniment to Architectural Lighting‘s technology column, “Light Manufacturing: Then and Now,” Huntington Beach, Calif.–based Bartco Lighting walks through the steps to make its MiT5 linear fluorescent luminaire and its BSS210 linear LED luminaire.
