1 MIN READ

Lighting Science Group (LSG) CEO Jim Haworth was honored by the White House on Nov. 3 as a Champion of Change. The recognition is part of the Executive Office’s “Make it in America” initiative, which acknowledges American business leaders who are creating high-quality jobs in the U.S. Under Haworth’s leadership, LSG grew in 2011 from 200 to 1,000 employees. Prior to joining LSG, he served in many key lighting industry management positions, including vice president of marketing and strategy at Philips North America. Prior to his time at Philips, Haworth was president and CEO of JJI Lighting Group, which he sold in 2006 to Genlyte Group, which was subsequently purchased by Philips in 2008.
