Overview: The CLTC, established through a joint effort between the CEC and the university, features development and testing facilities along with lighting-efficiency training and educational programs. Full-scale lighting and daylighting application labs are available to demonstrate emerging technologies. Undergraduate courses are available through the University of California, Davis, and are taught on-site at the CLTC. Professional daylighting and lighting design courses also are offered, directed to architects, designers, and those professionals in the industry looking to further their lighting education. The CLTC also features the Daylighting Academy, at which attendees will develop more of an understanding of the daylighting design process and applications.
