Juno Lighting’s Konczyk to Host Charity Golf Outing

1 MIN READ

It is not unusual to hear about large donations being given to industry associations or educational outlets with industry-related degree programs, or even competitions sponsored by manufacturers, but Juno Lighting’s Michael G. Konczyk has taken charity to the next level.

Like Osram Sylvania giving its lighting expertise to the Victory Junction Gang Camp in Randleman, North Carolina, a year-round camp that opened in 2004 for children with life-threatening illnesses, and Tuthill Lighting creating awareness and accepting donations via its website for a rare neurodegenerative disorder called Friedreich’s Ataxia, Konczyk has, for the past couple of years, run a charity golf outing and dinner auction to benefit the American Cancer Society and brain cancer research.

In reaching out to friends, family, colleagues, customers, and industry peers, Honczyk hopes that the donations (such as golf accessories, gift certificates, money – ‘anything that will make this a huge fundraiser’) for auction, raffle, and giveaway will make this year’s event the best one yet.
