IALD Call for Nominations

1 MIN READ

The Nominations and Elections Committee of the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) has announced a call for nominations for the organization’s 2007 election. This year, the terms of Charles Stone, past president; Mitchell Kohn, treasurer; and directors Katherine Abernathy, Jeffrey Miller, and Mary Rushton Beales on the Board of Directors; and Dawn Hollingsworth and Michael Souter from the membership committee will expire.

Candidates for the available offices-president elect, four-year term; treasurer, two-year term; three directors, two-year term; and two representatives for the membership committee, two-year term-may be placed on the ballot in two ways:

By applying to the nominations and elections committee, submitting in writing a statement of candidacy indicating name, membership grade, position for which they wish to be considered, and a brief statement of qualifications and interest.

Through voting members of the IALD, who may nominate in writing candidates for all positions. This way, the candidate with the greatest number of nominations from the membership for each position will be placed on the ballot.

Nominations must be sent to the Chair of the Nominations and Elections Committee by July 14, 2006 via e-mail ( elections@iald.org), fax (312-527-3680), or mail (IALD, Suite 9-104, The Merchandise Mart, Chicago, IL 60654).
