George C. Bosson

George C. Bosson has joined Illinois-based lighting manufacturer Tech Lighting as Director of Architectural Lighting. In this newly created role, Bosson will work with the company’s sales force and rep agencies as they make designers and specifiers aware of Tech Lighting’s growing range of product offerings.
Prior to joining Tech Lighting, Bosson was Director of a light, a company he founded in 2001. He was also Vice President of Sales and Marketing for its parent company Amerillum.
Bosson started his professional career in lighting in 1989 at Elliptipar, first as the controller and then as Chief of Operations. Company founder, Sylvan Shemitz, a pioneer of asymmetric lighting, was a mentor. (Today, Elliptipar is part of the Lighting Quotient.) Bill Lam was also a mentor; Bosson worked for Lam when he joined Lam Lighting as General Manager.
Tech Lighting president Josh Weiss, noted in a prepared statement, “As we’ve evolved our company over the past several years, we’ve gained a tremendous appreciation for the performance of light. George has a deep and passionate understanding for the interplay between light and space and will help us write our next chapter.”
