Fluke, a manufacturer of handheld electronic testing and measurement equipment, has awarded grants to 20 U.S. colleges, universities, and training programs through its Fluke Education Grant Program. Schools were chosen by a committee of electronics professionals who examined their educational programs.
To help strengthen teaching programs, each winning school will receive two Fluke test instruments for the electrical and electronics industries: the Fluke 289 and Fluke 287 logging digital multimeters.
Atlanta Electrical JATC, Atlanta; Boise State University, Boise, ID; Coosa Valley Technical College, Rome, GA; Hutchinson Community College, Hutchinson, KS; IBEW Local 176 JATC, Joliet, IL; and Milwaukee School of Engineering, Milwaukee, each received Fluke 287 grants.
Winners of the Fluke 289 grants are: Bluefield State College, Bluefield, WV; Detroit Electrical Industry Training Center, Detroit; Hazleton Area Career Center, Hazleton, PA; Hibbing Community College, Hibbing, MN; Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, NY; Linn State Technical College, Linn, MO; Northern Maine Community College, Presque Isle, ME; Palo Alto College, San Antonio, TX; Pennsylvania State University, Reading, PA; Richmond Electricians’ JATC, Ashland, VA; Southeast Missouri State University, Cape Girardeau, MO; Venango Technology Center, Oil City, PA; Wyoming Electrical JATC, Casper, WY; and Yavapai College, Prescott, AZ.
