Electrix and Willy Meyer + Sohn Partner

Electrix will serve as the sole U.S. distributor for the German lighting manufacturer.

New Haven, Conn.-based lighting company Electrix has announced that it has entered into an exclusive agreement with German lighting manufacturer Willy Meyer + Sohn to be the sole U.S. distributor for German lighting manufacturer’s products. Founded in 1946, Willy Meyer + Sohn is known for its exterior luminaire product lines.

“At Willy Meyer we are very glad to have found Electrix as our sole distributor for architectural exterior lighting products in the U.S.,” said Holger Meyer, the second-generation president of Willy Meyer + Sohn, in a prepared statement. “Both companies look back on a long history of craftsmanship and we share the same values: dedication to quality and attention to detail. Together we will offer excellent products and service to the architectural lighting market in North America.”

Electrix has been in business for 50 years, and is recognized for its “…well designed, elegantly engineered lighting fixtures for architectural, task, and industrial applications.” The company specializes in “…advanced linear LED systems for indoor and outdoor applications, cove and indirect lighting for the architectural lighting community.” The partnership will debut at LEDucation, taking place March 28 to March 29 in New York City.

Neal Award for Best Media Brand (Overall Editorial Excellence).Prior to her entry into design journalism, Donoff worked in New York City architectural offices including FXFowle where she was part of the project teams for the Reuters Building at Three Times Square and the New York Times Headquarters. She is a graduate of Bates College in Lewiston, Me., and she earned her Master of Architecture degree from the School of Architecture at Washington University in St. Louis.
