DOE Announces Lighting for Tomorrow 2008 SSL Winners

The Department of Energy (DOE) has announced the winners for the 2008 Lighting for Tomorrow Design Competition. The competition was sponsored by the DOE, the American Lighting Association, and the Consortium for Energy Efficiency. Over 56 entries were juried before a panel of 11 lighting experts. Winners were judged on energy efficiency, design, and lighting quality.

Winners:

  • Kichler Lighting: Design Pro Series undercabinet light fixture
  • Cree LED Lighting Solutions: LR4 recessed downlight
  • Luximo: Cylindrium portable tasklight

  • Digital Lighting: MP-400 desk lamp
  • Cree LED Lighting Solutions: LR24
  • Osram Sylvania: HF2Stick
  • Journée: LOTUS LED luminaire.
