LEDucation drew more than 4,200 attendees over the two-day show.

The Designers Lighting Forum of New York (DLFNY) will present LEDucation11, its annual solid-state lighting expo and seminar series, March 28 – 29 in New York City at the NY Hilton Midtown. The show’s tabletop format provides designers with access to more than 300-plus exhibitors who will showcase their latest LED luminaires, lamps, systems, and control packages.

In addition to the expo, LEDucation11 will offer an array of more than 25 seminars, which provide CEU credits, will take place over the course of the two-day show. Seminars cover a range of issues that anyone specifying lighting and working on lighting design projects might encounter. From design to technology to best practices and codes, topics this year pay particular attention to LEDs and controls and the impact of the Internet of Things on lighting as a whole.

Architects and interior designers are encouraged to attend LEDucation and the seminar presentations at 8:30a.m., on both days, are geared to this sector of the design community. On March 28th, Deborah Gottesman of Gottesman Associates will be presenting “Reconstructing the Business of Light: A Sweeping Response to LED’s”. On March 29th, John Katimaris of the New York School of Interior Design will be speaking on “Revisiting Visual Comfort in the Digital Age.” A guided tour of the show will immediately follow each session. Registration is required.
