The two-stage international design competition to create an innovative, state-of-the-art fixture design that responds to New York City’s unique architectural and urban landscape, while meeting performance requirements for a city streetlight is nearing completion. In anticipation of selecting a winning proposal, an exhibit and lecture have been scheduled. Details are listed below.
Exhibit: Works from the City Lights Design Competition

The exhibition features models and drawings from the three competition finalists (Atelier Imrey Culbert, New York; Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Chicago; and Thomas Phifer and Partners, New York) and design concepts by other competitors from around the world.
