Award-winning lighting consultant and industry veteran Howard Brandston, principal of MM Brandston & Co., will be conducting master classes in lighting design during the month of August for the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney, Australia. The Brisbane seminars took place August 6-8, and will be followed by seminars in Melbourne August 10-12 and in Sydney August 14-16.
The seminars will provide students with new perspectives on lighting design, incorporating philosophy and design process, drawing on Brandston’s experience in the industry. Seminars consist of a three-day design “boot camp”, where students must design a lighting solution for real-world projects and review the attendant technical and engineering issues.
