Article Discusses Light Issues on the National Mall

As the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. by its very nature is a city focused on rules and regulations, and buildings are no exception. Just as there are restrictions to ensure that the Washington Monument remains the tallest structure in the District, there also are ordinances in place to make sure no building along the National Mall is illuminated in a way that distracts from the popular tourist spots, including the Capitol, monuments, and memorials.
