KB Home’s West L.A. Condominiums Certified to LEED-Platinum

Located in the walkable Playa Vista neighborhood, the 52-unit Primera Terra building includes energy- and water-efficient products and indoor-air-quality-boosting features.

May 17 – KB Home unveiled Primera Terra, a 52-unit luxury condo building in West Los Angeles’ Playa Vista neighborhood, that will be the production builder’s first LEED-Platinum community.Primera Terra includes two- and three-bedroom floor plans from 965 to 1,504 square feet. Homes include tankless water heaters, Energy Star-rated appliances and lighting, high-efficiency windows, and an energy-monitoring system, as well as WaterSense-certified faucets and toilets. Also specified are low-VOC paints and flooring and an active ventilation system.

The building itself, an infill property, boasts a cool roof, a living wall, bike storage, and electric car plug-ins. Located north of the Los Angeles airport and 1 mile from the beach, the project is walking distance to Playa Vista’s town center as well as a community center and walking trails.
