International Green Construction Code Public Hearings Scheduled

1 MIN READ

The International Code Council (ICC) has accounted the schedule of public comment hearings on version 1.0 of the International Green Construction Code (IGCC). Public comments received for the code, which are now posted on ICC’s web site, will serve as the agenda for several hearings in August. Hearings will be held from Aug. 14-22 at The Westin O’Hare hotel in Rosemont, Ill. Advanced registration to attend is required. The public hearings also will be available online.

The IGCC, version 1.0 was originally released in March, as detailed here. The code was created by the ICC’s sustainable building technology committee with cooperating sponsors, the AIA and ASTM international, with the overriding goal for developing a comprehensive set of regulations for green building systems consistent with I-Codes. The code was posted for public comment from March 15 to May 14.
