Display house Built With FSC-Certified Materials

1 MIN READ

Portland, Ore.-based Forest Products Solutions unveiled the first FSC House trade-show display at the Washington, D.C.-based U.S. Green Building Council’s Greenbuild International Conference and Expo last November in Chicago. The FSC House is a 20- by 20-foot (6- by 6-m) house constructed entirely of Reston, Va.-based Forest Stewardship Council-certified materials. Jessica Tennill of One World Architecture, Baghdad, Ky., won a national design contest for emerging green builders and presented her design during Greenbuild. Volunteer green builders in Portland spent more than 200 hours to build the house. The house was deconstructed earlier this year. This year, Forest Products Solutions is working with a number of FSC companies to develop an office space made entirely of FSC-certified wood. The office will be displayed at Greenbuild in Boston this November. To learn more about the FSC House, visit www.fschouse.com.
