Representing a significant extension of the client’s brand in Florida, the 450-key Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa includes one of the largest ballrooms in the market and 22,000 square feet of banquet and meeting facilities.
Guests are welcomed by an expansive breezeway that serves as an outdoor living room with stunning views of the gulf. Inside, the soaring volume of the hotel lobby features multiple seating areas anchored by area rugs patterned with abstracted sea life motifs. The sinuous ceiling soffit directs guests to a welcoming bar serving wine, spirits and specialty coffee. Varied lounge seating groupings feature casually elegant upholstery in saturated accent colors, which contrast with a subdued palette of architectural finishes in crisp white, driftwood grays and sandy beiges. Millwork “fence” elements in the lobby recall the light and shadow patterns cast by beach dune fences, a motif referenced in art and design elements throughout.
