Project Description
Westwood house is located in a wooded and natural
setting in West Austin, Tx. This project started with the desire to expand the original house, adding a room and a private multifunctional space. This need for more space evolved towards a deeper house reform after analyzing the advantages offered by the original home in a residential environment undergoing full transformation. This reading
of the site helped to make decisions that guided the design towards creating an authentic project consistent with its time and its surroundings.
The project functionally resolves the family’s daily needs while proposing a contemporary design, with modern lines and comfortable and functional environments. The careful selection of materials, shapes and geometry reveal a unique and conscious form of architecture.
