Project Description

The 1 million-square-foot Washington D.C. Marriott Marquis , designed by Cooper Carry and tvsdesign, is located in downtown D.C., adjacent to Mt. Vernon Square and the Washington D.C. Convention Center. The Marriott Marquis was Marriott International’s 4,000th hotel and one of only five Marriott Marquis flagged properties in the United States. The $520 million, 15-story building, which has achieved LEED Silver certification.,contains 1,175 rooms and features more than 105,000 square feet of meeting space.

The hotel consists of a number of subterranean floors housing meeting and assembly spaces accessed through a main hotel lobby located at grade. The guestroom tower begins at level two, which will provide an executive conference area within the domed atrium space. Parking for 400 vehicles is located underground. The roof houses mechanical equipment in a penthouse.
