Project Description
A remodel and addition to an existing WWII-era home, the central challenge of the project is to use a relatively modest addition as an opportunity to radically transform this perfectly ordinary house, giving it a modern sensibility and strong character. Recycled redwood siding, trellises, and translucent shading ‘fins’ unify and warm the western facade, allowing the light and breeze to pour in, but provide shading from the intense western sun.
