Project Description

This site presented us with several challenges. The home had to be designed to fit on all 15 lots, the smallest of which was 9,800 square feet. The lots are rear-alley loaded and had varying grade changes that needed to be taken up within the home itself. The beautiful park and open space views are located to the front of the lots. Our design sought to match an unfulfilled demand in this multi-million dollar neighborhood for a 3800 square foot single-level great-room style home that would appeal to sophisticated and highly discerning clients. The 70’ wide lots led us to design a home that didn’t feel constrained by homes on either side. We accomplished this by having the home focus around a charming interior courtyard, while facing the primary living spaces to the views at the front. The home has a quaint entry loggia adjacent to a front yard where the pool is located, offering true front yard living. The end result is a highly livable home which embraces Scottsdale’s beautiful climate while offering a spacious environment conducive to living and entertaining. Our clients are typically second and third home buyers so we also offer an optional second story (which the majority of our buyers elected to build), thus fulfilling their need for single story living while offering space for visiting friends, family and grandchildren.
