Project Description
di Domenico + Partners is working with the United Nations to design new sustainable landscape elements and to restore the existing historic campus grounds at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The protection and potential relocation of gifts, sculptures and memorials, is part of the project. The security component includes the design of perimeter protection, particularly high profile streetscape elements along First Avenue, the prominent international entry to the main campus complex. The capital improvements program will enable the complex to operate in accordance with current principles of sustainability and efficiency, and to comply with local codes and standards.
