Project Description
Providing services to 30,000 Veterans living in Lubbock County, the new Veterans Affairs Clinic improves Veterans’ access to high-quality, community-based health care by adhering to the highest standards of compassion, commitment and excellence. The two-story super clinic is strategically located to foster a relationship between area Veterans and Texas Tech University Health Science Center – a leader in medical research, education and patient care in West Texas. Inspired by the Texas Tech University campus, the clinic’s design is reminiscent of Spanish Renaissance Revival architecture with a complementary brick veneer and clay tile roofing system.
VA Lubbock includes an ambulatory surgery center as well as general and specialty health, dental, audiology, dermatology, ophthalmology, MRI, radiology, pharmacy, lab, physical therapy, telehealth, and women’s health services. 33,000 sq. ft. are dedicated to three PACT modules designated for mental and behavioral health, with specialized care and treatment for traumatic brain injury, mental illness, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
