Project Description
HED designed the Sheridan Mason Senior Living Community as a prototype. The two story structure provides assisted living and memory support to seniors and consists of market rate studios, one bedroom, and two-bedroom residential apartments. Amenities include a bistro, wellness offices, a beauty salon, library, a theater, and a grand parlor.
While the planning and program was developed as a prototype, it was the goal of the client that each site take on the local flavor of its location, both in terms of the exterior and interior.
Project features include…
– The exterior and interior atmosphere reflect the rustic community in which it is located.
– The variety of open meeting spaces allow for varying degrees of social interactions.
– Patios and sunrooms combine the indoors with the outdoors, fostering a connection with nature.
– The mobility of the furniture allows gathering spaces to be rearranged for different groups.
– Individual and community kitchenettes are available amenities, as well as the 7-days-a-week dining room.
– The facility is surrounded by manicured gardens and includes a centrally located drop-off and visitor parking lot.
