Project Description
The Hospital and Medical Office at Craig Ranch is a multi-use building, constructed to accommodate a variety of medical services within a single cohesive complex. The main functional components of the facility include a professional office building, a full-service Emergency Department, a physical therapy suite, and 24-bed hospital with 7 ORs. The total building area includes 119,000 s.f.+/- with an attached 142,000 s.f. parking structure.
The design of the building is organized around a layering of strong geometric planes, set in relation to one another to express a composition representing and interactive relationship of the components and functions within. The primary exterior materials proposed for the project include stone, Portland cement plaster, pre-cast concrete, and metal framed storefront and glass. The intent is to reinforce the interconnection of the vertical planes by incorporating a series of horizontal accent metal trellises and covered canopies.
