Concep:pigeons of Imam Reza shrines
The pigeons of Imam Reza shrine which are the symbol of love and freedom is the
concept of this portal. This portal displays a pigeon which is flying to the sky and
the concrete pillar with the height of 28m is attracting of audiences from a far
distance and it causes their glance to the sky. The movable wings of portal which
are going toward up is look like the wings of the pigeon which is flying to the sky.
This construction has been designed so that when the cars passing on bump there is
a bar under road which is going down by weight of cars that is causing the gear
wheels to rotate and cables to be pulled. Therefore, with the arrival of cars to the
site, the shape of the portal is being changed and gives us different views.
