Project Description

Rowan University tasked SOSH Architects to transform an apartment building at 301 West High Street into a University Art Gallery that would serve as bridge between the college community and the surrounding Glassboro neighborhood. The extensive renovation project included a complete façade restoration and conversion of the first floor into modern gallery space. SOSH designers also made optimal use of the second and third floor space for smart classrooms, computer labs, administrative offices and student lounge spaces. Sitting at the cusp of the University grounds and the burgeoning Glassboro Arts District, the Rowan Art Gallery is an anchor for the area’s continued revitalization, bringing arts, culture, entertainment and community together.
